St. Rita's Sodality welcomes all women starting at age 18 or older.
Women age 18 to 69 are considered regular members.
Entrance/Application fee is $20.00 and $20.00 yearly dues ( payable in January ) which includes law book and medal on a ribbon. Regular members DO NOT have to be parishioners of the parish to join.
Benefits at death include cross of flowers at wake. Representation of Sodality sisters at Mass in Corpus Christi Parish at Holy Rosary Church. Mass will be paid by the Sodality (excludes organist and cantor) and Month's Mind Mass.
Women age 70 and over are accepted as Honorary Members and do not have to be parishioners of the parish to join. Entrance/Application fee is $20.00 includes medal on a ribbon. Dues are optional.
Benefits at death include representation of Sodality sisters at funeral Mass in Corpus Christi Parish at Holy Rosary Church and a Month's Mind Mass.
There are 50 Committee Members that comprise the governing body. Committee Members must be parishioners of Corpus Christi at Holy Rosary Church. They attend monthly committee meetings, attend deceased member masses, visit members confined to nursing homes, coordinate fund raisers and financially support Corpus Christi at Holy Rosary Church. The Sodality also gives a $1,000 scholarship annually to a deserving student who must be a parishioner of Corpus Christi Parish and entering or enrolled in a Catholic high school.
To qualify for benefits, active members must have been in the Sodality for a period of six months.
Once a member is confined to a Nursing Home, she will be exempt from paying dues.
Orientation of new members takes place the Wednesday before the Annual Breakfast Meeting.
Each month (12 times a year) all Sodality members living and deceased, benefit spiritually at the St. Rita’s Mass which is offered on the first Saturday of the month at 4:00 pm.
